Our Services

Presentations

We offer engaging presentations that explore Ho-Chunk history, identity, and lived experience. Topics include:

  • Cultural and historical overviews of the Ho-Chunk

  • Indian boarding school impacts and historical trauma

  • Truth-telling and decolonization in education

  • Contemporary issues in Indian Country

Each session is designed to share knowledge in ways that are accessible, inclusive, and rooted in truth, helping audiences understand how history continues to shape our present.

Workshops

Our beginner-friendly workshops and cultural classes provide opportunities to learn traditional Ho-Chunk arts through creative, hands-on experiences.

Offerings include:

  • Beadwork — exploring design, color, and story

  • Sewing Classes — honoring tradition through creation of ribbon skirts, ribbon shirts, and dresses

  • Basic Leather Work — Ho-Chunk moccasins and medicine bags

  • Bone Bead Necklace Making — crafting Ho-Chunk style bone bead necklaces

These classes are open to all skill levels and are designed to build cultural pride, community connection, and confidence. Each session blends storytelling, history, and practice — teaching culture by doing, not just by listening.
